Well, it’s not like he’s an employee of the studio in a way that he’s obligated to do whatever movie they tell him to. He could have said no. My problem though is that he’s “spitting on the plate off where he ate” (Brazilian saying LOL)
LOL The English equivalent being ‘biting the hand that feeds’. However, I still would not fault him for taking it on at all.
He isn’t really just pissing on it like crazy. It’s mostly just Edward, who he plays. I haven’t seen him say anything bad about SMeyer herself or the production team, or his fellow actors.
Everyone is allowed to criticize something they feel is wrong. In this case, Edward’s character. If I am correct, then he hasn’t said anything against accepting the role of Edward. He can still think Edward is a total tool and want to play him. That’s his interpretation of Edward. It’s no different from the Twitard Jacob fangirls who call Edward a creepy stalker and whatever else have you. And they’re fans.
No, he’s not obligated to, but that’s not really the point. He didn’t really know a lot about Twilight until after he got the job so it was a little too late to bacvk out anyway. But like I said, he’s an actor, acting is his job and no one ever said someone had to like a character to portray them. :3
JFC I should seriously stop wasting my time on shit like that, I know, but it's infuriating.
And no one seems to have a problem with it. That’s what sucks. People at large think it’s perfectly fine to make insulting jokes about someone’s gender based on whether or not they fit your personal perception of what’s appropriate for what gender. As if you’re the fucking standard we should ascribe to.
Well people who do that are fucking douchebags and it’s jokes like that that act as stepping stones to bigger shit. The kind of shit that makes people like me afraid to be ourselves.
Aaaand thank you, tumblr, for ruining an otherwise wonderful day.
Couldn’t you let people be happy for one night without going of and being heterosexist douchebags?
I’m so disgusted right now, why can’t you let us have nice things.
I think they’re making fun of Justin Bieber than being heterosexist. You know, people are saying Justin is a girl etc etc
Exactly. That is the fucking problem.
Oh ha ha, Bieber doesn’t fit my ideas of masculinity, which means I should call him a girl even if he clearly doesn’t identify as one! It’s so fucking funny to call him a girl as an insult because being called a girl is so terrible, isn’t it.
I'm laughing so hard right now. Really I am.
thanks for making an already wonderful night even more wonderful.
Heterosexist, heteronormative, one of those words that better describes the way that post seeks to emasculate Bieber because he does not appear to conform to your ideals of what masculinity should be like. I’m sorry, I can’t remember which the right word for that sort of shit was. Do excuse me. :|
